Alternative Service Delivery (ASD)

Astute organizations are always seeking opportunities to do things better, faster, more consistently. In some cases, the best strategy may be not to do certain things at all but rather to seek alternative means of accomplishing the tasks at hand.  

Alternative Service Delivery initiatives are designed to identify areas of process that can be assigned to outside agencies who are specialists and thus better prepared to optimize that specific component of the process. Typically, ASD initiatives do not result in the complete contracting out of the full process end-to-end, nor do they usually mean full transfer of the operational management of the process to an outside agency.
